The Queensland Association for Gifted and Talented Children Inc.  (QAGTC) is a member-funded, volunteer-based organization dedicated to supporting and developing gifted children.  The QAGTC website provides a useful guide to resources, activities for gifted students, information for parents and teachers, list of support groups, conference information and links to other interesting sites.  The QAGTC website also lists government initiatives and policies within Queensland.

The Education of Gifted and Talented Students in Western Australia website provides an overview of gifted education in three sections Identification, Provision and Monitoring and Assessment.  Available for downloading are checklists, an outline best practice teaching models, approaches and strategies and a comprehensive range of suggested activities.

The Gifted Education program supports schools and teachers in capitalizing on the opportunities offered through the Essential Learnings Frameworks to provide for the educational needs of gifted students.  The program is cross-curricular and responds to issues associated with gifted students to Kindergarten to Year 12.

Since 1991 the University of New South Wales has established a strong academic focus on teaching and research in gifted education, and this has been linked to the development and expansion of a range of vacation programs for gifted children, courses for their parents counselling services for gifted students and their parents, conferences, seminars and workshops for teachers with an interest in gifted education, and the development of a range of teaching resources.
