Inspiration Software

To find yourself, think for yourself

            (Socrates)

Inspiration and Kidspiration are software applications that are particularly suited to a Thinking Skills approach.  Inspiration is used with much enthusiasm by teachers and students at Kurwongbah State School.  We have found that it encourages students to think creatively and gives them the tools with which to organise that thinking.

Using Inspiration to Inspire Planning, Teaching and Learning (261 KB)

This PowerPoint Presentation was presented at Kurwongbah's Quality Teaching Conference 2003 by Jenni McKeering and Denise Tarlinton.  Inspiration’s integrated diagramming and outlining environments work together to help students comprehend concepts and information.  Teachers can use Inspiration to customise instruction, achieve outcomes, assess student progress and energise learning.  Discover ways to use Inspiration across the curriculum for brainstorming, webbing, planning, critical thinking, concept mapping, organising and outlining.  This presentation explores the various tools and opportunities that Inspiration has to offer to inspire planning, teaching and learning.  An excellent overview to use when introducing Inspiration to your staff.
